THIS SECT SHOWS OUR SOLUTIONS TO CUSTOMERS PROBLEMS
SCOOTRS DISC BRAKE NOT CENTRAL IN TRAILING LINKS.
This customer came to us to have our outboard suspension fitted and his disc hub modifying to accept our anti dive system. It was noticed that his hub was not alligned correctly in his trailing links . When the front wheel is not central in trailing links it is not in line with the rear wheel leading to crabbing whilst being ridden and adverse handling . Crabbing can be most noticed when riding in wet conditions when two tyre tracks can be seen if riding behind a scooter with this problem. As you can see in the first four pictures the distance beetween the tyre and the fork leg is 30 mm on one side and less than 20 mm on the other. This is due to the fact that all the parts attached to the hub ie, disc, calliper, speedo drive and calliper carrier cannot phsyicaly fit in the gap and align within the links which leads to this offset. This is a common problem with most lambretta hub style outboard single disc hubs fitted in std lambretta forks.
In the lower 4 pictures you can see that the wheel is now central beetween the fork legs, but it has been nescercary to use our own laser cut trailing links to obtain the extra space to centralise the wheel with the anti dive conversion fitted. The anti dive conversion and our out board suspension are available to purchase. the suspension can be seen in the Shop sect details of the anti dive conversion will be added soon. The anti dive conversion can be fitted with std lambretta suspension but the trailing links need modification ,the modified links are pictured with the outboard suspension kit in the Shop sect.
